Husband always does a great job celebrating my birthday. In fact, he started a little early.
A week before my birthday, a box of chocolate arrived. Not just any box of chocolate. A box of Askinosie chocolate. A 4-Bar pack of chocolate. Husband insisted that I open it. So I did.
But you have to understand the relationship I have with chocolate. I mean, good chocolate. I love it. But I cherish it so much more when the time is right. You know, when the mood strikes me. So I didn’t feel like I could just start chomping on one of those fabulous chocolate bars right then and there. But that did not satisfy Husband. Or Caedmon.
So for the next week, I was asked, nay, hounded every single day as to if I had eaten any of my chocolate yet. Caedmon kept asking for a bite. And wondering why I wouldn’t share it. But I tasted none of it until my birthday.
And? It was good. Very good.
Worth the wait.
Also? I love the packaging and that each square of chocolate has a letter and the bar spells out “Askinosie chocolate” on it. (I didn’t take a picture because I was too busy enjoying the chocolate.)
Husband and the kids took me to The Cheesecake Factory for my birthday. It was delicious. And then, we went to The Container Store to look around. Two of my happy places, right next to each other and in the same night!
When we got home, Husband showed me a video that he and the kids had made. And y’all, I was blown away. Quite possibly the best birthday present ever in the history of birthdays. I’ve watched it a bunch of times and I still don’t really have the words to say how much I love it. You’ll just have to watch it for yourself.
Oh man! How sweet is that!
