Deep Thoughts From Caedmon

Bedtime has become interesting at our house, to say the least. Trying to get two kids to bed around the same time takes practice. Especially when I frequently hear this…“Momma? One more ‘sting.” (thing)

And it’s never one simple thing. For instance, the other night, he said, “How did Jesus put Honor in your belly?”

Not even going there, Dude.

But the kicker was the other night when he was stalling again and said to Husband, “One more ‘sting…how does the earth spin around the sun?”

How do you answer a question like that when you are proud your three year-old is asking about the earth’s rotation, but at the same time you just want him to go. to. bed. already?

I don’t know the proper way to answer it, but what we said was, “Um, we’ll talk about that tomorrow.” See? We can stall too.

Also, I’ve been hearing a lot lately, “Are you ‘stinking what I’m ‘stinking?”

Just in case you wondered, I’m usually not thinking what he’s thinking. But he’s happy to tell me what he’s ‘stinking. I wonder where that trait comes from?

And my favorite thing he says lately (which I’ve previously mentioned): “Momma, I like this baby.” I’m so glad he loves his sister!

  1. So funny! I'm sure he keeps you all on your toes, both mentally and physically. :) There's nothing more that I love than an older sibling loving on their younger sibling.
