Baby #2: 35 Weeks

Baby #2 Highlights

How Far Along: 35 weeks (Need to catch up? Here’s last week.) Only 5-ish weeks left to go! That sounds really weird. It’s coming fast!

Size of Baby: Probably a little over18 inches head to toe and about the weight of a honeydew melon, about 5 1/4 pounds.

Big Brother Caedmon: I won’t lie. This has been a challenging week. I think we’re both a little on edge. Monday after our grocery run (yes, I went back to Monday this week), I threatened to eat chocolate for lunch. We’ve been at odds this week for some reason, and I’d like to go on record as saying that I don’t really appreciate it. It’s not anything big, just little naggy, psycho stuff. You know, like banging on the trash can incessantly every time he puts something in. Yelling for no apparent reason. And whining over every. teensy. little. thing. And perhaps I’ve been a bit on edge, with my to-do list growing quicker than my belly and not seeming to shrink even when I check things off daily. I’m really hoping the end of our week & weekend are better.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am just going to continue to claim the +25 from last doctor’s visit. I go again in two weeks and I don’t even want to know until then. Maybe even then. I may stop looking at the scale altogether until Little Sister is about 6 months old.

Maternity Clothes: Most of the time, except at home.

Gender: Girl!

Movement: Yes! Still a mover and a shaker.

Sleep: Yes. Sometimes. See above.

Symptoms: Crazy dreams. Hips hurting. Heartburn. Soreness in my neck and shoulders from having to reach so far for everything. It sounds ridiculous, but standing at the kitchen sink nearly kills me because I have to stand nearly a foot away from the counter. My belly is in the way!

What I Miss: Nothing, really.

Cravings: Nothing in particular, just sweets!

Best Moment This Past Week: Prenatal massage via a gift from my most awesome Husband and the baby shower on Saturday!

What I Am Looking Forward To: I’m taking Caedmon on a little “date” today, and I think we’re both going to have fun.

  1. LOL, I used to complain about standing in the kitchen too! I got out of washing dishes a lot because of it. :-)
Guess I'll be there again soon enough!
