C loves the water. He also loves being outside. But playing in the water and wintertime don’t always mix well. And you can only spend so much time in the bath tub.
I like to have a clean house. I hate to clean floors. Those things don’t always mix well either.
But I’ve found a compromise.
The other day, I moved the table and set C’s chair in the middle of the kitchen floor. I stripped him down to his diaper and gave him a few utensils and plastic containers, then poured in some lukewarm water.
All in all, I’d say we used about a quart of water over about 20 minutes. It was everywhere. But since I’d prepared, it was no big deal.
When C was done with his water, I dried him off (changed that soggy diaper!) and put his clothes back on. Then I took a couple of towels and gave the floor a thorough wipe-down.
Happy toddler.
Clean floor.
Happy Mommy.
Works for me!

This is great! When he's a little older you can also let him "skate" to clean the floor with a rag under each foot!
