Try, Try Again

With C getting into more stuff every day, I've had to make a real effort to keep his busy little hands from being where they shouldn't.

One large area of challenge is Oz's water. C loves water and he just doesn't have the self-control needed to keep those little fingers from splashing in the little blue bowl. So we put up a gate to the laundry room, high enough for Oz to get underneath, low enough for Husband and me to step over, and just enough to keep C out.

Or so we thought.

C discovered he could get under the gate one day. But then found out that it doesn't always stay at exactly the same height. (Please disregard the gamers you hear in the background. I think they were getting pwned.)
After I raised the gate a little, he finally made it happen. (Warning: More whining gamers in the background.)
Today, the gate was a bit lower than C expected it to be. High enough for him to scoot most of the way under yet low enough to get his head stuck.

It wasn't pretty. But it was funny. Pin It

Okay Melissa, I just have to tell you that when you video tape your child it sorta reinforces that it might be okay for that habit to exist.....I'm not so sure C gets that he's not supposed to go under the gate! LOL! It's like the times when my kids do something they are NOT supposed to do but it's really hard to get on to them when I'm dying laughing at the same time! Ha Ha
