Seriously...

I am seriously weary of my dog right now. I love him, but he's driving me nuts. He's smart, but so hard headed. When will he GET A STINKING CLUE that he has to stay outside until I let him in? And ANY amount of pathetic whimpering, whining, pawing at the door and trying to head-butt the doggie door will NOT get him in any sooner.

Ugh! Pin It

I am SO glad that we decided on STRICTLY outside dogs! And she has even learned that she CAN NOT come in the house, and the consequences for trying. So she doesn't try it anymore. And she rarely whines at the door. She has learned that I just ignore her until I am ready. Now barking... is another story. But I do not discourage it, because I want her to bark at strangers. Both people and animal. She just barks at EVERYTHING right now.

  2. Melissa,
I feel your pain! Our dogs constantly dig out and we live in constant fear that they will not be here when we come home everyday. For now, Caleb had built the Ft. Knox of dog kennels and it is a lot less stressful! When will they learn that life at our house is much better than life on the streets? Dogs are such idiots sometimes. All I can do is echo your "ugh". :)

  4. I really do feel bad for him because he doesn't get as much attention as he needs right now. But part of that is his own fault. If he liked Chickster AT ALL, this whole situation would be totally different.

I am about to the point where I'm ready to find a new home for him. Not because I don't love him, but because I do.
