Mom Of The Year

Today has been less than stellar. I knew it was going to be a challenge when C woke up much earlier than he has been lately. And with the Impending Clouds of Doom, I knew his dreams of playing outside would be crushed.

After a long, fussy half-morning, we went to visit Husband at his office, which ended with a meltdown when I, being the Evil Mommy, made C quit climbing up and down the stairs after the 837th time.

So we came home and had lunch, where he proceeded to throw approximately half of his peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the floor. Yum.

Then, as I was getting C ready for his nap, I talked about how cranky boys make cranky Mommies, and that a nice, long nap would fix that problem for both of us. I was certain that his nearly 19 month-old brain was absorbing the logic behind my lecture.

We sat down to rock before his nap.

Fever.

Way to go, Mom. Good job. Pin It

Wait, this wouldn't be the chocolate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches would it? Obviously I'm going to need to come back and teach him the brilliance of the chocolate peanut butter and how lucky he is to have this available to him at this age.

  2. Don't be too hard on yourself...he probably didn't have fever when he was climbing on the stairs...and melting down from his stair climbing rights being taken away from him. And I'm absolutely certain you didn't cause his fever by refusing him any further stair climbing rights.

I so feel your pain on that one! When Liem was 3 he was constantly in trouble for 3-4 weeks during that summer...acting like a complete TERROR!! So, finally I call Dr Froman to see what could be wrong...and of course he had strep!
