Renaissance Man

My Husband is a man of many talents. And he's added one more thing to his repertoire.

He's now an author.

That's right. He wrote something. That someone is actually reading.

His first novel is a labor of love. Because if he didn't love to write and those of us who helped proof and edit didn't love him, we would've all quit a long time ago. But he persevered and so did we. And now he has his very own book to show for it.

It's a "fantasy western" written for kids age 8-12. It's probably appropriate for kids that are a bit younger, but you might have to help them with some of the vocabulary.

He even created his own cover art. See? I told you he's a man of many talents.

For now, Husband's book is self-published on LuLu.com. You can check it out here if you're interested. And no, he doesn't make any money from the sale of the books. He wanted to keep the price as low as possible.

Oh, and for those of you who ordered before a couple of days ago, you are blessed with a "Limited Edition." Meaning there are a few typos. Cherish it. There are only so many things my red pen can catch the first few times around.

Husband is shopping for an agent or publisher, so if any of you know someone in that world, send them our way. He'd love to become a real, published author. And it helps knowing that Harry Potter was rejected nine times before it was finally published.

But for now, he's keeping his day job. And I'm putting away my red pen. Pin It

  2. I need my rare, first edition, complete with typos signed by the author, please. Maybe I would have something extra special if the proofer signed it as well, in her red pen!!!!
