Not-Fun Weekend Update

In my delirium last night and haste to get something posted, I neglected to mention a few things.

One, we had a nice visit with Husband's family. We were able to spend some time with his Mom & Dad, as well as visit with his grandparents.

Two, the hospital staff was very good to us. They made sure we were well cared for and did the best they could to help not only C feel better, but Husband and me as well.

So, here's an update since last night.

C slept all night, bless him. He stirred and coughed a bit around 5:30 this morning, then went back to sleep until around 7. His appetite held true and he had a big breakfast. Those steroids must still be working because even though he was so sleepy he could hardly hold his eyes open by about 9:30 this morning, he refused to nap. Poor thing just couldn't stop moving. He fell asleep just a few minutes ago while we watched Jurassic Park.

He loves him some dinosaurs. I think he already appreciates the scene where the lawyer gets eaten off the toilet by the T-Rex. I know it's quite possibly my favorite. (No offense to my attorney friends out there.)

His teeth are coming in nicely - two molars and a front bottom tooth. I can say that with great confidence because I have a bite mark to prove it. That's what I get for trying to be liberal with the Orajel.

I called Dr. B's office this morning and according to the radiologist, C does indeed have a touch of pneumonia. His lungs have probably cleared up since that x-ray was taken due to the antibiotics and steroids he's already had, but just to be sure, we will start on antibiotics today.

Mom is coming over in a bit to watch C while I go to Wal-Mart. Because if we're going to be stuck at home for the next few days it's probably important that we have things like food and toilet paper.

I promise I will upload a few pictures from the hospital soon. But right now I have to go make a grocery list or else I'll spend an hour aimlessly wandering the store and come home with nothing but a bag of M&M's and frozen french fries. Pin It

I'm sorry to hear how sick poor C has been, but glad that he's feeling better. Hospitals are NO fun, especially with babies. Hope you are all able to get some good rest. Love ya, Christy
