Husband had a LAN party last week. He had already gotten some things set up and ready to go when Chickster and I spent a little time in the office. Since the floor space was taken up by tables and cables (like how I rhymed that?), I set Chickster on the table for a minute.
Of course, there was a mouse pad on the table, lying in wait for its glorious night of gaming. It seems Chickster had a little pre-LAN action for it as well. If he enjoys computer peripheral accessories this much, just think how much he'll like the actual thing!

Your dad got into some computer stuff of his own today. You know he has taken to playing spider solitaire. I know the rest of the world is playing Conan. And he only plays one suit of spider solitaire. I think it's just like cheating to play only one suit, but it certainly keeps him occupied!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the fan started squealing. So you know what he did. He took the fan out. Discovered a loose wire - and that the fan casing was sealed. He was not to be deterred by that slight complication. He figured if someone put it together he could take it apart. And that he did...
He discovered the fan blades were slipping on the shaft...I guess it was just worn out from the millions of spins it had taken. I don't know what he did - but in typical Dad fashion...he took something from his stash in his tool box and proceeded to fix it. Now, the fan casing is stuck back together with super glue...and it runs like a dream. Mr. Fix it. Good thing it wasn't NLB's computer he would have freaked out!
