Happy Birthday and New Pics

Today is my Dad's birthday - Happy Birthday, Dad! Also, I believe it is the perfect opportunity to announce the grandpa name we have chosen for him. When I say "we," I'm mostly referring to me. But Trump and Curly helped, and gave their approval - like I needed it. :) I think that we shall call him...Duke. Or Papa Duke, as Mom referred to him the other day.

For those of you who know Dad, you'll know the name fits him. And if you don't, I'm not exactly sure how to explain how it fits, it just does. And of course, it doesn't hurt that one of his all-time favorites was called "The Duke"...John Wayne.

So Happy Birthday, Duke - we love you and hope it's a good one!

I've had a few requests for some new pics (as if I have nothing else to do). Here are a few I took this week.

Chillin' in the Boppy, talking to Daddy (obviously not pictured.)

Hangin' with Mom - modeling the Baby Gap outfit we bought in KC. Trump saw this pic today and said Chickster looked like HLB in this shot.

We went outside for a while the other day - the weather was nice. I think this is my favorite shot from that outing - gotta love the little feet! Of course, I say "little"...it's a bit subjective. If you'll notice, his socks are about too short for him, although his feet aren't fat enough to fill them out. That's what happens when you have long skinny feet. Since I have the same problem, I know that finding shoes for him will be a challenge, and I'll be very frustrated with those feet. So I'm taking the opportunity now to think they're the cutest things ever! Pin It

Long skinny feet, or short wide feet... All very cute. All VERY hard to find shoes for!

  2. I must say he is looking more like a PERSON...it is amazing the changes they go through.

I think we may have to add the Papa to the Duke because your dad is worried that just Duke sounds like you are using a first name, and he thinks that is disrespectful. It will just take some time for him to get used to it...then we can shorten it!
