Chickster's Room 2

Ok, so here's an update on Chickster's room. It's finally ready for him, and we keep adding stuff to it. I don't know how we can add anything else - there's not much room left.

We love the crib, and the bedding with custom touches by Husband's Mom.

She also made the curtains for the closet, with fabric chosen by Husband. There's a story behind the TV...it was not originally part of the room. But we got a new TV and had to move one of the old ones, and this chest of drawers happened to be the only surface large and sturdy enough to put it. (Yes, those are Post-Its labeling each drawer - you should know I'm that Type-A by now.) So, here the TV will stay for a while. At least there will be something to do when rocking Chickster at 2am that doesn't take much focus or brain power. Of course, there's not much on at that time, but that's what TVLand is for.

The dogs have their very own blankets, also made by Husband's Mom. I am really enjoying the glider, as I love to rock, even with no baby yet.

The Big Hugs Teddy Bear with the Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt was made by Husband and me this past weekend at Build-A-Bear especially for Chickster. Hopefully he will enjoy it eventually. Argus sure is interested in it, and he would enjoy it for about 7.6 seconds - the length of time it would take him to rip it to shreds.

So there it is! Pin It

  1. Cute room! That crib looks just like Parker's. I'm sure you'll get use out of the tv. I wish I had one in Parker's during the late nights. However, my favorite part is the dog blankets! So funny and creative! Good luck with everything.

  2. No, you do not have post-its on your dresser!! Oh my gosh - I have seen it all! :)

We have a TV in Rachel's room (which will be shared with Porter once he gets here) and then one in ours (which will get turned on during late night feedings). It will come in handy, I'm sure.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to be done with this belly!! You would have thought that by now, technology would have figured some way to make this a faster process. My swelling ankles sure wish it would go faster.

  3. Well, our mare is now at 12 months..and can barely walk. It is definitely a race to see who takes advantage of the approaching front and full moon!

  5. Jill, the post-its help me keep my sanity, since I have no idea where I've put stuff. When I finally learn where I've stashed everything, they'll come off. I just hate opening every single drawer to find something. And you should've seen that one coming!

Trump, those dog blankets will probably be long gone by the time you need something like that. But I know someone who can make some for you....
