Awesome! Or Not.

You know what’s awesome? Simmering orange slices, cloves, and cinnamon on the stove all day, giving the house a yummy smell.

You know what’s not awesome? Forgetting about the simmering pot and letting the orange slices, cloves, and cinnamon run out of water and burn.

You know what’s awesome? Remembering that you threw out your old, nappy cheese grater before you moved and you get to buy a new one.

You know what’s not awesome? Remembering that you need to buy a new cheese grater when you need one to grate cheese for dinner.

You know what’s awesome? Finally hitting the hair barrette threshold so that you actually have enough barrettes floating around the house to be able to find one when you need it for your child’s hair.

You know what’s not awesome? A full 75% of the barrettes you can find are orange. Orange? Who needs orange hair barrettes? Not us. But we use them anyway. Because, you know, that’s all I can find.
