It's Been a Rough Weekend

I just saw a commercial for the new TV show Worst Week, and I totally know how that guy feels.

It's been a rough 10 days with my sweet little boy, but this weekend was especially tough. But I think we're coming out of our funk now (fingers crossed).

It seems we've been through quite a cycle of extremes the last couple of weeks. First, Chickster about eats me out of house and home. Then for several days he hardly ate anything. That was followed by some big blowouts (yeah, you know what I'm talking about), which was ironic since he hadn't been eating hardly anything. By the time we got to the middle of last week, I thought we were back to normal.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

He had a great day at KDO, and things were looking like we were on the uphill slide.

That was the calm before the storm.

Because things definitely went to pot after that.

The last few days, he's been cranky, clingy, run fever, hardly slept, and slobbered all over everything we own. I think even the dog got slimed at one point. Poor guy, he's felt terrible. Therefore I haven't been in such a hot mood either.

Obviously, the Teething Monster has come back and apparently brought some friends with him this time. Which I do not appreciate.

Uninvited guests are one thing, but when they bring friends, it's even worse.

But today Chickster finally shook his fever and took two good naps. So far tonight, he hasn't woken up crying, which is much better than the last three nights. Maybe we're through the worst of it.

All in time for his check-up with Dr. B tomorrow.

Oh, the irony. Pin It

  1. Sounds like your week has been identical to mine. Chickster and Parker probably have the same thing. By Wednesday I thought things had settled down but then Friday morning everything hit all over again and came back a ton worse and with him giving it to me! It's not fun taking care of a sick baby while you are also sick. I'm going so stir crazy from not leaving the house this weekend. Hope your little boy gets to feeling better soon!
